The Red Sea

This definitely was my favorite experience in Egypt so far. My friend, Michelle, and I spent two days at a resort right on the sea. The hotel was beautiful and we spent our days lying on lounge chairs right on the sand. I would for sure go back to this spot again, it was so peaceful and relaxing. I think my favorite part was watching a family build a sand castle, but it wasn’t in the shape of a castle, rather a pyramid. When we left to eat lunch, they were working on the sphinx.

The water was so clear, and shallow, we could walk really far and still were standing in water up to our knees. Apparently, you are supposed to be able to float really well in the sea, but it was no surprise to me when I still had trouble staying afloat. I have heard that there are two suspected spots of where it is said that Moses parted the sea, but we were not near these areas.
